Youth Camp

Lake Retreat Camp is a retreat center built around a lovely lake. With lake views from almost every room, stellar food service, well-equipped meeting spaces, and mounds of recreational fun, we are sure your stay at our retreat center will leave you refreshed. And we’re only 45 minutes from Seattle and Tacoma, in the charming town of Ravensdale, just outside of Maple Valley, WA.

Lake Retreat Camp is one of the few retreat centers offering prime-time rental facilities during the summer months, as well as all year round. We are focused on serving churches, youth ministries, children’s ministries and other ministry non-profits by providing an environment to meet the needs of your youth camp goals and camper's needs.

During the summer months, we are filled with mostly children through high school aged youth. During the spring, fall and winter months, we host a variety of family, men’s, women’s, college-age and youth groups. We also serve several schools and various other ministries in the Seattle-Tacoma area.

Recreation:

We offer all of the fun that you expect when you think “camp” and more, including a “Blob”, mini golf, sand volleyball, kayaks, canoes, paddleboats, high dive, “Foxtrot” water toy, recreation fields, disc golf, nature trails, giant tire swing, etc. We also run some high adventure activities year-round including zip line and paintball. There is no shortage of fun here!

When the weather turns soggy, move your fun into our rec. center, with over 4,000 square feet of rain-less fun! The rec. center has two basketball courts, ping pong, carpet ball, volleyball and more.

You can also take advantage of our Fireside Lounge to steal away and get a cup of coffee, pull out a game, or read a good book.

We have two main recreation fields where your creative juices can come to life with camp games galore. Or ask us for our list of suggested games.

Summer activity at Lake Retreat Camp centers around our waterfront. The camp sits along over 1,000 feet of waterfront, and all three of our lodges, the dining hall, fire pits, mini golf, sand volley ball, pickle ball and giant tire swing all sit right on the shore. Youth have a blast swimming and using our water toys and boats. The giant, pillow-like “Blob” is a summer-time favorite.

All waterfront activities are supervised by our certified lifeguards. Lake Retreat Camp staff also run the paintball and zip line activity.

Accommodations:

Our retreat center offers a variety of accommodations. We can host a group as small as 12 and as large as 400. We have three lodges (each with private meeting spaces), three sets of cabin groups, and a large main Chapel. We are happy to work to get you booked into a building that works for your needs, to provide the best camp experience possible.

We are also happy to loan out any of our A/V and sound equipment. Several of our meeting spaces have built in sound systems. Our Chapel is also equipped with a projector and projector screen as well as the sound system. You are also welcome to bring your own equipment.

Coming during the warm months? Our Dining hall, Fireside Lounge and Chapel have air conditioning!

Featured Accommodations:

Lundgren Lodge

Lundgren Lodge sits overlooking the lake. It has three stories and holds up to 109 guests. The meeting space on the main floor has tall ceilings and a large deck just off of the meeting space as well as a deck on the lowest floor. It also features a grand, rock fireplace. Lundgren is often coupled with our nearby, private Hilltop Cabins.

Okerson Lodge

Okerson Lodge also sits on the lake on the far side of campus. Okerson is the most remote of our lodges (although it's only a 2-3 minute easy walk to the dining hall and main waterfront). This lodge holds up to 122 guests and features our famous triple-high bunks. But don’t worry; there are still 62 beds that are “ground floor”.

This lodge is great favorite of junior high and high schoolers.

Johnson Lodge

Johnson is the smallest of our lodges, holding 44 guests. It has a spectacular, elevated view of the lake and is only steps from the dining hall and hub of the retreat center. This lodge is perfect for smaller  groups.

Food Service:

When you’re down at the dining hall, watching the breath-taking lake view and eating your scrumptious meal, keep an eye out for Jim, our chef. You’ll likely see him at the outdoor BBQ grill or overseeing our dedicated Food Service staff.

He serves a variety of great meals including, pork tacos, pizza, BBQ burgers and brats, pulled-pork baked potato bar, etc. All of our meals are served buffet-style, with a keen eye toward the make-up of your group.

We can accommodate campers that have a dairy-free or gluten-free dietary need. We also provide cold storage, microwave and toaster to campers with other needs so that they can easily bring and supplement with their own food. We also have a fridge and microwave in each lodge to assist campers with extra dietary needs.

We are excited to serve you through our food service!

Your Host:

When you arrive to Lake Retreat, you’ll check in with your designated host. Your host is here to meet your needs while your group is at the camp. Your host is at all of your meals and you get their personal cell phone number at check-in. Your host also lives on campus so they can promptly take care of any need that arises.
